Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon and officially the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, is an island country in South Asia. It lies in the Indian Ocean, southwest of the Bay of Bengal, and southeast of the Arabian Sea; it is separated from the Indian subcontinent by the Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Strait.

Day 01

AIRPORT – CHILAW - APPROX 01.30 HOURS DRIVE

On your arrival in Sri Lanka, your chauffeur/ guide will meet you at the airport, and drive you to Chilaw.
Enroute visit Munishwaram Temple &Manavari Temple in Chilaw.
MunishwaramTemple: It is believed that Munishwaram predates the Ramayana and a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was located here. Munishwaram means the first temple for Shiva (Munnu + Easwaran).

ManavariTemple: Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed by Rama and to date this lingam is called Ramalinga Shivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in the world named after Lord Rama.

Day 02

CHILAW – TRINCOMALEE - APPROX 05 HOURS DRIVE

After breakfast check out & proceed to Trincomalee. Afternoon enjoy the Trincomalee city tour.

KoneswaramTemple: Koneswaram temple of Trincomalee (also historically known as the ThirukonamamalaiKonesarKovil, the Temple of the Thousand Pillars, and Thiru-KonamamalaiMaccakeswaramKovil) is a Hindu temple in Trincomalee, Eastern Province, Sri Lanka venerated by Saivites throughout the continent. It is built atop Swami Rock, a rocky promontory cape overlooking Trincomalee, a classical period harbor port town.

ShankariTemple: The famed SHANKARI Temple, in Sri Lanka, is one of the 18 Devi Temples (AshtaDasha Shakti Peethas). Many have heard the Ashtadasha Shakti Peetha Shloka starting with LANKAAYAAM SHAANKARI DEVI.composed by Sri Adi Shankara which means Shankari in Lanka. This Shloka enumerates the list of places of Devi temples that are considered to be part of the 18 Devi Peethas.

Day 03

TRINCOMALEE – SIGIRIYA - APPROX 03 HOURS DRIVE

After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya.

Afternoon discover the 8th wonder of the world – the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Dating back to the 5th Century A.D., this astounding ‘city’ on the summit of a high outcrop was the royal citadel of King Kassapa for over 18 years. A miraculous feat of artistry and engineering, its unique features and exquisite frescoes continue to amaze all who visit it, even today.

Evening climb to Dambulla cave Temple - also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. This site is situated 148 kilometers east of Colombo and 72 kilometers north of Kandy. Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.
Rest of the day is free at leisure .

Day 04

SIGIRIYA – KANDY - APPROX 02 HOURS DRIVE

After breakfast proceed to Kandy, en- route visit spice Garden& Gem Shop

Afternoon enjoy the Kandy City tour
The hill capital of Sri Lanka; Kandy, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Not only is it a beautiful city surrounded by mountains, it is also home to significant historic and religious attractions such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Kandy Lake
Kandy Lake is a great place for people to watch in the shade of ancient trees. Go for a walk with your travel buddy
One of the unique aspects of Kandy is its laidback streets. Full of a colorful kaleidoscope of colonial buildings and houses.

Temple of the Tooth Relic
Explore the sacred temple of the Tooth relic, a historic location on both cultural and religious significance. The Temple of the Tooth Relic is the jewel in the heart of the old city, captivating and majestic. It is a greatly venerated site as the place that holds the Tooth Relic of the Buddha and thus attracts pilgrims from all over the world and the island

Catch a cultural Kandyan dance show towards the end of the day to bring a close to the most perfect day in the hill capital

Day 05

KANDY – NUWARA ELIYA -APPROX 03 HRS DRIVE

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en-route visit a Tea Factory, one of the main sources of foreign exchange for Sri Lanka and recognized as Ceylon Tea is renowned for its high–quality aroma and taste&Sri Bhakta hanuman temple, where Hanuman was searching for Sita, the Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka built the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple which is visited by thousands of devotees every year. Evening enjoy the Nuwara Eliya city tour.

Visit the spectacular Sitha Amman Kovil
According to legend, Seetha Amman temple is said to be the place where Ravana, King of Lanka kept Sita during his time.

Have a Taste of Unique Nuwara Eliya
Try some of the freshest strawberries right from the very hub of the delicious and tangy fruit and explore the city for the east line of the famous potato spiral.

Smell the bloom at Hakgala Gardens.
At 5400 ft above sea level, the hakgala botanical garden has a history dating back to 1862. Take a walk amidst the blooms and become captivated.

Explore the city’s Colonial History

Day 06

NUWARA ELIYA – COLOMBO – APPROX 05 HOURS DRIVE

After Breakfast check out and proceed to Colombo.
Colombo - a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith's quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also, visit the BMICH, and see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square.
Also, visit Anjaneyar Temple &Kalaniya Temple
AnjaneyarTemple: This is the first Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka and also the only Panchamuga (five-faced) Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka. It's the only temple in the world to have a chariot for Ajanyear.

Kelaniya Temple :After King Ravana’s death, Vibeeshana was coronated as King of Lanka by Lakshmana at Kelaniya. There are murals enshrined outside the Buddhist temple depicting the crowning of Vibeeshana. The Kelani River is mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana and Vibeeshana palace was said to be on the banks of this river
